You need: faux/natural leather; lining, 1 snap.
IF THE PATTERNS
HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,
IF THE PATTERNS
HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.
Seam allowances: 1 cm for all seams.
ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out
according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material
you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).
WHEN SEWING, BE
CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE COINCIDING!
CUTTING:
Leather:
1. Main part – 1 piece
2. Fastener facing – 1 piece
3. Side part – 2 pieces
4. Facing – 2 pieces
Lining:
1. Main part – 1 piece
2. Side part – 2 pieces
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Lay fastener facing on main part right sides together
and overstitch up to facing lower allowance.
2. Stitch side parts into the band; finish stitching at
the same place as stitching of main part.
3. Stitch lining side parts and lining main part together
slashing corner allowances.
4. Stitch facings’ side edges in a ring.
5. Stitch facings on the lining right sides together leaving
a hole to turn the bag right side out.
6. Lay facings wit lining on the bag right sides
together, then overstitch them along upper edge. The first stitch goes along
lower edge of fastener edge (Ïåðâàÿ ñòðî÷êà – ïî íèæíåìó ñðåçó îáòà÷êè çàñòåæêè (bag covering folded
into wrong side), the second stitch goes along bag’s upper edge.
7. Turn the bag right side out. Stitch the hole. Set
the snap.
