You need: stiff natural/mixed fabric, faux leather; fusing; lining, zipper, decorative cord, 2 zippers for inner pockets.

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.

Seam allowances: 1 cm for all seams. 6 cm for front/side parts’ upper edges as well as side inset. 2 cm for partition pocket’s upper edge.

ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).

WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE COINCIDING!

CUTTING:

Fabric:

1. Front part – 2 pieces

2. Side part – 1 piece

3. Upper part – 2 pieces

4. Side inset – 4 pieces

5. Handle – 1 piece

Lining:

1. Front part – 2 pieces

2. Side part – 1 piece

3. Upper part – 2 pieces

4. Large sacking – 1 piece

5. Small sacking – 1 piece

6. Partition pocket – 2 pieces

Fusing: front part, side part, side inset, handle.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Apply the fusing to wrong side of front part, side part, side inset and handles.

2. Fold the handle along the center wrong side out, then overstitch its long edge. Turn the detail right side out and press it. Fold short allowances into wrong side. Make decorative stitching at 0.2 cm from edges.

3. Stitch side inset to front part. Fold the seam into front part. Make decorative stitch along the seam.

4. Stitch side part to the bag. Fold the seam into wide part. Make decorative stitch along the seam..

5. Mark inner pocket at the lining. Strengthen zipper place with the fusing. Cut a slit along the pocket entrance, make slashes at 1-1.5 cm from pocket end. Fold seam allowances into left side. Lay the zipper under pocket entrance edge with its teeth visible. Topstitch pocket entrance at 0.2 cm front the edge. Stitch large sacking to zipper upper braid, stitch small sacking to lower braid. Stitch lining edges.

6. Cut lining flaps of 4 cm length and 2 cm width. Fold partition pocket’s upper allowances into wrong side, then topstitch. Lay flaps half-and-half, lay them on the zipper's both sides. Lay partition pocket pieces on the zipper (lining does not hide zipper teeth), then topstitch. Cut zipper ends so that the zipper does not overlap side allowances.

7. Stitch lining side parts’ edges inserting partition pocket. Stitch lining side part to lining front part leaving a hole to turn the bag right side out.

8. Insert the zipper between fabric upper part and lining upper part and stitch along zipper teeth. Fold upper parts out of the zipper and make stitching along teeth.

9. Zip the zipper. Lay the lining on the bag right sides together, insert upper part between them, adjust all edges, then stitch around.

10. Turn the bag right side out through the hole. Stitch the hole.

11. Prepare the bag as ready. Fold upper edge allowance inside and make stitching along the seam joining upper part and the bag. Stitch handles to side parts folding allowances under.

12. Set eyelets as marked. Pull the cord.
