You need: stiff natural/mixed fabric (cotton velvet, fabric suitable for suits); fusing, lining, zipper, 2 zippers for inner pockets, decorative clasp.

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.

Seam allowances: 1 cm for all seams. 2 cm for partition pocket’s upper edge.

ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).

WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE COINCIDING!

CUTTING:

Fabric:

1. Front part – 2 pieces

2. Side part – 2 pieces

3. Half-belt – 1 piece

4. Handle – 2 pieces

Lining:

1. Front part – 2 pieces

2. Side part – 2 pieces

3. Large sacking – 1 piece

4. Small sacking – 1 piece

5. Partition pocket – 2 pieces

Fusing: front/side parts, handles.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Apply the fusing to wrong side of front/side parts, handles.

2. Fold the handle along the center wrong side out, then overstitch both long edges. Turn the details right side out and press it. Make decorative stitches at 0.2 cm from the edge.

3. Stitch straight edges of side parts.

4. Mark inner pocket at the lining. Strengthen zipper place with the fusing. Cut a slit along the pocket entrance, make slashes at 1-1.5 cm from pocket end. Fold seam allowances into left side. Lay the zipper under pocket entrance edge with its teeth visible. Topstitch pocket entrance at 0.2 cm front the edge. Stitch large sacking to zipper upper braid, stitch small sacking to lower braid. Stitch lining edges.

5. Cut lining flaps of 4 cm length and 2 cm width. Fold partition pocket’s upper allowances into wrong side, then topstitch. Lay flaps half-and-half, lay them on the zipper's both sides. Lay partition pocket pieces on the zipper (lining does not hide zipper teeth), then topstitch. Cut zipper ends so that the zipper does not overlap side allowances.

6. Fold allowance of handle’s wider end under and topstitch it on the bag. Fold half-belt allowance long edges’ allowances under and topstitch them. Pull the end into the clasp, fold it half-and-half; upper side is of allowance’s double width. Fold upper side’s lower allowance and topstitch on the bag.

7. Pull handle’s free end into the clasp, fold the allowance under and topstitch it.

8. Lay bag front part on lining front part right sides together. Insert the zipper between upper edges and stitch it. Turn the bag right side out. Make decorative stitches along the zipper.

9. Stitch side part to front one.

10. Stitch straight edges of lining side parts inserting partition pocket. Stitch lining side part to lining front part leaving a hole to turn the bag right side out. Stitch the lining at side parts as follows: 1. Stop stitching 1.5-2 cm before the zipper. 2. Then stitch this hole catching upper fabric.

11. Turn the bag right side out. Stitch the hole
