You need: stiff natural/mixed fabric (cotton velvet or fabric suitable for suits); fusing, lining, zipper, 1 zipper for inner pocket.

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.

Seam allowances: 1 cm for all seams.

ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).

WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE COINCIDING!

CUTTING:

Fabric:

1. Main part – 1 piece

2. Side part – 2 pieces

3. Side lower part – 2 pieces

4. Side upper part – 4 pieces

5. Handle – 2 pieces

Lining:

1. Main part – 1 piece

2. Side part – 2 pieces

3. Side upper part – 4 pieces

4. Side lower part – 2 pieces

5. Large sacking – 1 piece

6. Small sacking – 1 piece

Fusing: main part, side part, side lower part, side upper part and handles.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Apply the fusing to wrong side of main part, side part, side lower part, side upper part and handles.

2. Fold the handle along the center wrong side out and stitch its long edge. Turn the detail right side out and make decorative stitch at 0.1 cm from the edge.

3. Stitch main part to side part right sides together inserting handle stripe.

4. Stitch side upper part to side part, finish stitching before side upper part’s lower allowance.

5. Mark inner pocket at the lining. Strengthen zipper place with the fusing. Cut a slit along the pocket entrance, make slashes at 1-1.5 cm from pocket end. Fold seam allowances into left side. Lay the zipper under pocket entrance edge with its teeth visible. Topstitch pocket entrance at 0.2 cm front the edge. Stitch large sacking to zipper upper braid, stitch small sacking to lower braid. Stitch lining edges.

6. Stitch lining main part to lining side part right sides together leaving a hole in one of seams for turning the bag right side out. Stitch lining side upper part to lining side part; finish stitching before side upper part’s lower allowance.

7. Lay fabric bag and lining bag right sides together inserting the zipper. Adjust edges. Stitch details along zipper teeth. Turn details tight side out.

8. Stitch fabric/lining side lower parts to side upper parts’ edges and to the zipper. Stitch side lower part to bag side part. Stitch lining side lower part to bag lining.

9. Turn the bag right side out trough the hole. Stitch the hole.
