You need: faux/natural leather, short-haired fur; lining, zipper, 1 zipper for inner pocket.

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.

Seam allowances: 1 cm for all seams. 2 cm for handle’s long edges.

ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).

WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE COINCIDING!

CUTTING:

Fur:

1. Main part – 1 piece

2. Side part – 2 pieces

3. Handle – 1 piece (see recommended length on main part’s pattern)

Lining:

1. Main part – 1 piece

2. Side part – 2 pieces

3. Large sacking – 1 piece

4. Small sacking – 1 piece

Leather:

1. Zipper facing – 4 pieces

2. Handle – 1 piece (see recommended length on main part’s pattern)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Leather: cut 2 flaps for the zipper of 4 cm length and 3 cm width. Fold them half-and-half.

2. Mark inner pocket at lining main part. Strengthen zipper place with the fusing. Cut a slit along the pocket entrance, make slashes at 1-1.5 cm from pocket end. Fold seam allowances into left side. Lay the zipper under pocket entrance edge with its teeth visible. Topstitch pocket entrance at 0.2 cm front the edge. Stitch large sacking to zipper upper braid, stitch small sacking to lower braid. Stitch lining edges.

3. Lay the flap on zipper’s right side. Lay zipper facings right sides together inserting the zipper. Adjust edges. Stitch details along zipper teeth: begin stitching at 1 cm from edges and stop it 1 cm before the end. Fold facings into right side.

4. Leather: cut a handle of 8 cm with, for its length please see main part’s pattern. Adjust long edges up to the center and glue them. Cut fur decorative detail of 2 cm width. Lay fur detail on the handle and topstitch it at 0.2 cm from fur edge.

5. Topstitch the handle on the bag as marked.

6. Stitch zipper upper facing to the main part.

7. Stitch zipper lower facing to lining main part.

8. Lay main/side parts right sides together. Stitch them together according to marks.

9. Stitch lining side part to bag part leaving a hole. Turn the bag right side out through this hole. Fix lining/main part upper edges together. Stitch the hole.
