You need: stiff natural/mixed fabric (cotton velvet or fabric suitable for suits); fusing, lining, thin strengthener, decorative cord, 1 zipper for inner pocket.

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.

Seam allowances: 1 cm for all seams. 0.5 cm for the handle.

ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).

WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE COINCIDING!

CUTTING:

Fabric:

1. Upper part – 1 piece

2. Center part – 2 pieces

3. Bottom – 1 piece

4. Handle – 2 pieces

Lining:

1. Center part – 2 pieces

2. Bottom – 1 piece

3. Large sacking – 1 piece

4. Small sacking – 1 piece

Strengthener:

1. Center part – 2 pieces

2. Bottom – 1 piece

Fusing: upper/center parts and bottom.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Apply the fusing to wrong side of upper/center parts and bottom. Quilt the bottom and center part with the strengthener.

2. Set loops into upper part as marked.

3. Stitch upper part’s side edges as a ring. Fold upper part along the center right side out and make 3 parallel stitches as marked, to make coulisses.

4. Stitch center parts to the bottom slashing corners.

5. Mark inner pocket at lining center part. Strengthen zipper place with the fusing. Cut a slit along the pocket entrance, make slashes at 1-1.5 cm from pocket end. Fold seam allowances into left side. Lay the zipper under pocket entrance edge with its teeth visible. Topstitch pocket entrance at 0.2 cm front the edge. Stitch large sacking to zipper upper braid, stitch small sacking to lower braid. Stitch lining edges.

6. Stitch lining bottom to lining center part slashing corners. Leave a hole in one of seams for turning the bag right side out.

7. Fold the handle along the center right side out and fold long edges under. Make a stitch at 0.1 cm from the edge.

8. Stitch handles to the bottom as marked.

9. Lay the bag and bag lining right sides together inserting upper part. Adjust edges and stitch details together.

10. Turn the bag right side out. Stitch the hole. Cut the cord into two parts; set one cord into upper coulisse, set another one into lower coulisse. Gather cords.
