You will also need: blind zipper, 2 buttons.
If the pattern has double contour the seam allowances are included.
Seam allowances are NOT included by default and need to be added when laying out and cutting details if your pattern has single contour.
Seam allowance: on hem and lower edge of sleeve — 2 cm, all other seams - 1 cm
Attention! First of all please print all the paper patterns and lay them out at the width of fabric you plan to use (usually from 90 to 150 cm) to see how much fabric you will need. Don't forget to count pair parts and symmetrical parts.
When sewing the garment, pay attention to notches, they must coincide.
Lining details are cut using main fabric pattern pieces and are 2 cm shorter than main length.
CUTTING:
Main fabric 1:
1. Upper back part – 2 details 2. Central back part – 2 details 3. Central front part — 1 detail 4. Lower front part — 1 details
Main fabric 2:
1. Side back part – 2 details 2. Side front part – 2 details
Guipure:
1. Inset of upper front part — 1 detail 2. Inset of upper back part — 2 details 3. Sleeve — 2 details
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Sew shoulder seams of front part / back part insets. Press seam allowances towards back part and serge. Serge lower edge of front part inset.
2. Sew shoulder seams of upper front part / back part. Press seam allowances towards back part. Put guipure with its wrong side onto right side of main garment. Overstitch the neckline, leaving 1 cm to center seam line of back part. Slash seam allowances, turn guipure onto wrong side and press.
3. Slash the corner away on upper front part. Turn outer edges inside and press. Topstitch upper parts onto guipure inset according to markers at 0. 1 -0.2 cm off the edge.
4. Stitch upper back part to central part. Press seam allowance downwards. Stitch lower front part to front part. Serge seam allowance and press it downwards.
5. Stitch side parts to front part and back part, slashing seam allowance in corner. Serge and press: horizontal edge — upwards, vertical edge — towards center.
6. Cut off 5 cm along vertical edge of the vent, on left back part. Apply fusing to wrong side of the vent on both details of back part. Mark center seam line (vent fold line) on the right side. Press left part along vent fold line, on right part press onto wrong side only seam allowance of right side of the vent (6 cm). Align details on center seam and fix along top edge of the vent. Serge center edge of back part separately on each detail only on main fabric . Serge seam allowances of the vent. Sew center edge of back part from the zipper notch up to vent's corner. Slash away the corner of vent's seam allowance on right part. Press apart allowances of center seam, press seam allowances of the vent and fix them on right side with machine stitch.
7. Sew in zipper. Stitch guipure on neckline section. Turn guipure inside and sew seam allowances to the zipper by hand.
8. Sew side seams. Serge seam allowances and press them towards back part.
9. Sew the slit on the sleeve according to marked shape. Cut bias tape of main fabric of 4 cm wide and as long as double length of the slit + 4 cm. Fold the bias tape in half lengthwise and press. Press outer seam allowances towards center. Overstitch slit of sleeve with bias tape. Sew edge of sleeve. Serge seam allowance and press it towards back part. Sew the sleeve into armhole, leveling notches. Serge seam allowance. Turn lower edge of sleeve twice inside at 1 cm and topstitch. Make a loop buttonhole at the end of the slit sew on the button.
10. Serge hem of garment. Turn seam allowance onto wrong side, press and topstitch.
