You will also need: invisible zipper, 6 buttons.
If the pattern has a double line around it, the seam allowances are included.
Note: By default, seam allowances are NOT included (single line) and will need to be added when laying out and cutting details.
Attention! First of all please print all the paper patterns and lay them out at the width of fabric you plan to use (usually from 90 to 150 cm) to see how much fabric you will need. Don't forget to take into account pieces to be duplicated or cut on a fold.
Seam allowance: all seams - 1 cm; on hem of the dress — 2 cm, on hem of sleeve – 1.5 cm
When sewing the garment, pay attention to notches, they must match up with corresponding pieces.
CUTTING:
(On the pattern pieces, “beam” means straight of grain. Lay out your pieces accordingly. Some pieces will be cut on the fold. This is noted on the pattern piece. Mark all notches and other design features such as darts, pleats etc. from the pattern onto your fabric.)
Fabric:
1. Back — cut 2
2. Upper right front - cut 1
3. Lower right front — cut 1
4. Left front — cut 1
5. Sleeve - cut 2
6. Flap – cut 2
7. Facing of upper front — cut 1 8. Facing of lower front — cut 1 9. Left front neck facing — cut 1 10. Back neck facing — cut 1
Interfacing: top flap and facings of fronts, front neck, and back neck.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Apply interfacing to facings and top flap.
2. Sew flap, right sides together, along sides and lower edge. Trim corners, turn right side out and press. Place flap onto right side of lower right part of front and attach on top and side edges.
3. Sew darts on fronts, press downwards.
4. Sew right upper and right lower fronts together. Serge seam allowances.
5. Sew darts on back. Press towards center. Serge center edges of backs separately. Sew back seam from zipper mark down to slit marker. Press seam apart, and the opening for the zipper. Sew in the zipper.
6. Sew shoulder and side edges. Serge seam allowances and press towards back.
7. Sew right upper front facing to right lower front facing. Sew shoulder edge of the facings to back neck facing. Press seams open. Serge outer edges of the facings. Place dress and facings right sides together, matching seams and marks on neckline and front edges. Clip into curves. Understitch neckline edge and edge of front. Turn the facing inside and press. Tack facing to zipper tape and at shoulder seams.
8. Topstitch the facing on left part of neckline from right side according to marked line. Place right front over left one, aligning edge of left front to inner edge of the facing, and topstitch on marked lines, starting stitch from center seam of back.
9. Sew sleeve seam, serge and press seam. Sew a gathering stitch along the cap of sleeve for ease. Sew sleeve into armhole, matching notches and adjusting ease. Serge seam allowances. Serge sleeve edge, turn under, press and topstitch.
10. Serge bottom edge of garment, press under and hem with invisible
stitches. Topstitch along slit.
11. Sew on buttons according to marks.
