Recommendations on fabric: fabric suitable for dresses You will also need: lining; invisible zipper; hook and eye. 

If the pattern has a double line around it, the seam allowances are included.
Note: By default, seam allowances are NOT included (single line) and will need to be added when laying out and cutting details. 

Seam allowance: on hem of the dress – 3 cm; other seam allowances – 1 cm 

Attention! First of all, please print all the paper patterns and lay them out at the width of fabric you plan to use (usually from 90 to 150 cm) to see how much fabric you will need. Don't forget to take into account pieces to be duplicated or cut on a fold. 

When sewing the garment, pay attention to notches, they must match up with corresponding pieces. 

CUTTING:
The word, “beam” used on some patterns means “straight of grain”. Some pieces will be cut on the fold, this is noted on the pattern piece. Mark all notches and other design features such as darts, pleats etc. from the pattern onto your fabric. 

Darts: The fold of the dart is always pressed toward the center of your garment, or down toward the hem. 

Fabric:
1. Upper back bodice - cut 2 2. Lower back - cut 2
3. Upper front bodice – cut 1 4. Lower front - cut 1
5. Basque – cut 1
6. Collar - cut 1 

Lining:
1. Upper back - cut 2 2. Upper front – cut 1 3. Basque – cut 1 

INSTRUCTIONS: 

1. Sew darts on bodice back and front, press darts toward center. Sew pleats on upper front, press depths toward side.
2. Sew together upper and lower backs, serge and press seams upwards.
3. Serge center back seam edges separately, then sew together from notch (bottom of zipper) to hem, press seam open including opening for zipper. Sew in zipper. 

4. Pin basque and lining, right sides together, and sew lower edge. Clip into curves. Turn right side out, press. Press pleats according to markers and baste. Pin basque on lower front and baste on top and side edges.
5. Sew together upper and lower fronts, serge and press seam allowances upwards. 

6. Sew shoulder edges. Serge and press seam allowances toward back.
7. Fold collar, right sides together, and sew ends. Trim seam allowances in corners, turn collar right side out, press. Sew collar into the neckline.
8. Sew and press darts on lining. Sew shoulder edges, press seam toward back. Serge lower and center edges. Pin lining and neckline, right sides together, (collar is between main fabric and lining) leaving 5 mm to zipper edges, turn lining back and pin to top edge of the dress. Turn seam allowances along zipper onto right side of the dress and pin to neckline edge on top of lining. Sew neckline edge, clip into curves. Turn right side out and press. Clip into curves, press. Sew side seams of both garment and lining. Press seams open. Turn center edge of lining under and slipstitch to zipper tape. Slipstitch lining to garment along waist edge.
9. Serge bottom edge of dress, press onto wrong side, and sew hem by hand with invisible stitches.
10. On inner collar, sew hook and eye, leaving 1 cm to the collar connecting seam. 

Advice: wear the dress with decorative belt.
