YOU NEED: silk/cotton/viscose; fusing; 12 small buttons.
NB!
Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out
according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material
you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).
CUTTING:
Fabric:
1. Front part – 2 pieces
2. Back part – 1 folded piece
3. Collar – 2 folded pieces
4. Sleeve – 2 pieces
5. Cuff – 2 pieces
Additionally: 2 piping for sleeve slits (16 cm length and 2.5 cm width including allowances).
Fusing:
1. Collar – 1 folded
piece
2. Front band – 2
pieces
3. Cuff – 2 pieces
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Stitch darts,
stitch side/shoulder seams.
2. Turn in hem
allowances and topstitch.
3. Topstitch the
collar along outer contour, tack open edges together and tack the collar into
neckline. Fold one-piece front bands into right side and stitch to neckline
edge catching the collar; stitch the collar into back neckline with the same
stitch. Make several slashes into front seam allowances’ rounding. Fold front
bands into wrong side. Cut collar/back neckline joining seam allowances close
to the stitch, neaten them together and press downward. Sew front bands to
blouse lower edge and to shoulder seam allowances. Topstitch the blouse along
front edgings and along front upper edges up to the seam joining the collar.
4. Make slits into sleeves and lay slits as straight
lines. Lay the piping on the sleeve right sides together and stitch one of piping’s long edges close to slit edge, especially at seam
center point (slit top). Press the piping toward the slit above joining seam,
fold it to 0.7 cm width and sew above joining seam. Stitch edging’s both parts
diagonally at wrong side near slit top. Fold slit front
edge’s edging into wrong side and tack it to sleeve hem. Stitch sleeve
seam.
5. Tack pleats into sleeve hems. Stitch outer cuff to
sleeve hem, fold inner cuff upward. Fold inner cuff under and sew it above cuff
joining seam. Topstitch the cuff.
6. Stitch sleeves in easing them along sleeve caps.
7. Make buttonholes into front right edging, make
buttonholes into cuffs. Sew buttons.
