ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out
according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material
you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).
YOU NEED: double-sided organza of 140 cm width;
3 large plastic snaps.
ALL DETAILS ARE DRAWN WITH SEAM ALLOWANCES.
CUTTING:
Fabric:
1. Front part – 2 pieces
2. Side front
part – 2 pieces
3. Back part
– 2 pieces
4. Upper
sleeve – 2 pieces
5. Elbow part
– 2 pieces
6. Collar – 2 folded sleeves
7. Front band
– 2 pieces
8. Back neckline facing – 1 folded detail
9. Pocket – 2
pieces
Fusing:
apply the fusing additionally to back hem.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Stitch middle back seam, stitch back darts. Press
seam allowances leftwards, press dart depths towards front middle.
2. Stitch side front parts to front parts. Press seam
allowances towards side edges. Stitch darts. Cut seam allowances to 0.75 cm
width and press them upwards.
3. Fold pocket’s one-piece upper facing into right
side and stitch to side edges. Fold the facing into wrong side, fold pocket’s
other edges’ allowances into wrong side. Topstitch the pocket along upper edge.
Pin the pocket on front part and topstitch along the edge.
4. Stitch side/shoulder edges.
5. Stitch the collar neatly along out contour; tack
open lengthwise edges into neckline. Stitch back neckline facing to front
bands. Cit allowance of front bands’ edges and facing to 0.5 cm width, neaten
edges. Lay front bands and facing on front parts and stitch to lower edges of
front parts/front bands/lapels and neckline, catching the collar. Fold front
bands, facing and hem allowance into wrong side. Press edges. Neaten hem allowance. Sew inner edges of facing and
front bands to seam/hem allowances. Sew hem allowance.
6. Sew sleeve seams. Press sleeve hems into wrong side
and sew.
7. Stitch sleeves in, easing along sleeve caps.
8. Sew snaps on front parts so that stitches sere
visible on front parts’/front bands’ right side.
