1. Middle front
part – 2 pieces
2. Side front part
– 2 pieces
3. Middle back part
– 2 pieces
4. Side back part –
2 pieces
5. Strap facing – 2
pieces
6. Piping for upper back edge and
armholes – 2 pieces
7. Piping for front
neckline – 2 pieces
Fusing: one-piece front
bands.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Apply the fusing
to wrong side of one-piece front bands.
2. Stitch back
middle/relieve seams. Neaten allowances. Press middle seam leftward, press
relieves to middle line.
3. Stitch front
relieves, neaten them and press toward middle line.
4. Stitch side
seams, neaten them and press frontward.
5. Press hem
allowance into wrong side, fold the edge under and topstitch with 1 cm seam.
6. Neaten front
bands’/straps’ straight edges. Fold front bands into right side and pin it. Pin
facings to straps right sides together.
7. Stitch pipings
to trim upper edge. Press all the pipings along the center right side out. Lay
pipings on garment’s right side along corresponding edges: pipings’ ends
overlaps front bands and facings. Stitch facings, front bands and pipings, cut
allowances, slash rounded seams, cut straps’ corner bias close to seam.
8. Turn straps
right side out, fold front bands and pipings into wrong side. Press edges. Make
decorative topstitch of foot width along front edgings, neckline ties and back
upper edge.
9. Make a pleat
into each strap’s right side, pin it and topstitch along bending.
10. Make
buttonholes into right front edging, sew buttons on left one.
