5176 JERSEY TUNIC

 

YOU NEED: jersey of 150 cm width; fusing.

 

CUTTING:

Jersey:

1. Front part – 1 folded piece

2. Back part – 1 folded piece

3. Sleeve – 2 pieces

4. Back neckline facing – 1 folded piece

5. Front neckline facing – 1 folded piece

6. Pocket – 1 folded piece

  

Fusing: front/back neckline facing.

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

1. Apply the fusing to wrong side of front/back neckline facings.

 

2. Stitch darts, shoulder/side seams, neaten them and press.

 

3. Stitch sleeve seams and neaten them. Stitch sleeves into armholes. Make two holes for ties into garment hem near the seam. 2 ties: 40 cm length and 3 cm width. Fold ties along the center wrong side out and overstitch them, turn right side out and press. Fold hem allowance into wrong side and topstitch. Pull ties in.

 

4. Stitch facing details together, neaten outer edge. Lay the facing on the garment right sides together and overstitch along neckline. Fold the facing into wrong side and topstitch the neckline.

 

5. Neaten hem allowance, fold in into wrong side and topstitch.

 

6. Fold pocket edges into wrong side and topstitch. Lay the pocket on the garment and topstitch along upper/lower edges. Make decorative stitch along pocket middle line. Make fixes at sides.
