INSTRUCTIONS:
ADVICE ON HOW TO PROCESS WITH SEQUIN
FABRIC.
Before sewing seams , remove
sequins on seam allowance up to seam lines. Reinforce sequins near seam line
with one or two stitches to prevent their unpicking. We also advice you to set
special sewing machine foot to sew the zipper, so that the foot goes along seam
allowance where sequins are unpicked. You can also sew these seams by hand,
with close back stitches; in this case, you do not need to unpick sequins.
1. Sew front/back
darts into fabric and lining. Sew back middle seam. Lay
lining back part on fabric back part right side together and overstitch along
upper edge.
2. Lay lining front part on
fabric front part wrong sides together and tack along edges. Fold one-piece
facing to right side and overstitch armhole edges along. Turn right side out and press it.
3. Sew side seams leaving
closure slit into left side seam. Press closure allowance to wrong side. Sew
the zipper under slit edges with its teeth hidden.
4. Press
straps along the center, right side out. Fold the stripe out. Fold edges to
bend line and press along this line. Topstitch along the edges. Sew straps
front edges under front part corners. Try the dress, adjust straps and sew
their back ends to back part.
5. Sew the hem by
hand so that lining hem was 2 cm shorter than fabric one.
