cambric; elastic tape 2cm in width; lace tape 1cm. in width.
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR,
THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE
CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.
ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150
cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and
symmetric pieces).
WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE
MATCHING!
CUTTING:
Fabric:
1. Front – 2 pieces
2. Back – 2 pieces
3. Ruffle – 2 pieces
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Sew the side/inside leg seams. Press them open.
2. With
right sides together place one half of the shorts inside the other half and
stitch the crotch seam leaving a slit for the waist elastic above the waist
fashion line.
3. Fold the waist self facing
inside and press it. Fold the facing raw edge
under and stitch it to the garment 0,1cm above this edge.
Make decorative
stitches according to the marks. Cut pieces of elastic to fit the waist,
plus 2,5 cm. Thread the elastic through the casings. Overlap
and stitch the
elastic ends.
4.
Stitch the ruffles side edges. Gather them and stitch to the bottom edges of drawers.
Neaten the lower edges of the ruffles and fold them to the wrong side. Tack the
ruffles to the garment. Topstitch the lace tape to the ruffle lower edges.
