YOU WILL ALSO NEED: iron-on interfacing, invisible
zipper.
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM
ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM
ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.
SEAM ALLOWANCE: 1 cm. for all seams, 3 cm. for hem.
ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the
linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not
forget about double and symmetric pieces).
WHEN
SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE MATCHING!
CUTTING:
Fabric:
1. Back – 2 pieces
2. Shoulder
strap – 4 pieces
3. Front – 2 pieces
4. Front
neck facing – 2 pieces
5. Back
neck facing – 2 pieces
Interfacing: front neck facing, back
neck facing.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Cut
and iron the interfacing to the wrong side of the facings.
2. Stitch and neaten front curved edges, press
them toward the centre front.
3. Stitch and press backwards the back vertical darts.
4. Stitch and neaten
side seams. Press them backward.
5. Fold shoulder straps in half lengthways, with right sides inside and
stitch along the raw edges leaving 3 cm slit in the side seams.
Turn the straps right side out; press them. Topstitch them
0,2 cm. away from the edges.
6. Neaten and stitch the central front edges between the
upper and lower slits marks.
7. Join the front and
back neck facing across the shoulder seams.
Press the seams open.
8. Neaten facing raw edge.
9. Neaten and stitch
central back seam from the point where the zipper begins to the end. Press the
seam open. Press the slit flat. Sew the zipper in.
10. Stitch the shoulder straps to the front top edge and find correct position for them
on the back top edge by trying the garment on. Fix the shoulder straps to the
back top edge.

Pin the facing to the garment with right sides together. Stitch on the garment
side. Cut the allowances diagonally on the top corners. Turn
the facing to the wrong side of the dress. Fold raw facing edges under and sew to the zip seam allowance by
hands.
12. Neaten hem. Fold
it inside. Press it and sew by hands.
