YOU WILL ALSO NEED: 2 hooks and iron-on interfacing.
SEAM ALLOWANCES: 1 ñì for
all seams and 2 cm for the blouse hem.
IF THE PATTERNS
HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,
IF
THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.
ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out
according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material
you need (do not forget about double and symmetric pieces).
WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH
NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE MATCHING!
CUTTING:
FABRIC:
1. Front facing - 2 pieces
2. Back – 1 piece
3. Front - 2 pieces
4. Stand collar - 2 pieces
5. Sleeve - 2 pieces
6. Cuff – 2 pieces
INTERFACING: front facing, collar, cuff.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Apply the interfacing to
the wrong side of the front facing, cuff and the
collar.
2. Stitch the front/back darts;
press the front darts downwards; press the back darts towards the back centre.
3. Neaten the front centre edges; stitch the front seam up to the lower
notch. Press the seam open.
4. Stitch the front facing centre edges up to the notch; press the seam
open. Press the facing outer seam allowances under. With right sides together,
stitch the front facing to the front along the front centre edges. Fold the
front facing to the garment wrong side and press. Topstitch the front facing to
the garment.
5. Stitch the blouse side seams. Stitch the blouse shoulder seams.
Neaten the seams; press them backwards.
6. Press the seam allowance of the top collar to the wrong side along
the lower edge. Stitch the collar pieces together around the top edge and the
ends. Trim the seam allowances; turn the collar right side out and press.
7. Stitch the under collar to the
neckline; topstitch the top collar to the previously made seam.
8. Stitch the sleeve edges; neaten the
seams; press the seams backwards.
9. With
right sides inside, fold the cuff in half lengthways; stitch the short ends
between the notches. Stitch the cuff
side raw edges together.
10. Stitch the cuffs to the
sleeve lower edges; neaten the seams. Topstitch the seam allowances to the
sleeves. Topstitch the cuffs around the edges.
11. Stitch the sleeves to the garment.
12. Neaten the garment hem; press the
hem under and topstitch. Attach hooks.
