5424 LACE TRIM BLOUSE

 

FABRIC: lightwaight linen, silk or mixed blouse fabric.

 

YOU WILL ALSO NEED: 5 buttons, iron-on interfacing and lace 2-7 cm in width. 

 

SEAM ALLOWANCES: 1 ñì for all seams.

 

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.

 

ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and symmetric pieces).

 

WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE MATCHING!

 

CUTTING:

FABRIC:

1. Collar - 2 pieces

2. Collar stand – 2 pieces

3. Sleeve - 2 pieces

4. Cuff - 2 pieces

5. Back - 2 pieces

6. Side – 2 pieces

7. Upper front – 2 pieces

8. Middle front - 2 pieces

9. Centre front –2 pieces

10. Front band –4 pieces

 

INTERFACING:  front band, top collar, cuff and collar stand.

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

1. Apply the interfacing to the wrong side of the front band, top collar, cuff and the collar stand.

 

2. Stitch the centre and the middle front pieces together. Neaten and press the seams.

 

3. Pleat the upper front lower edge. Stitch the upper front to the lower front; neaten the seam; press the seam allowances upwards. With right side to the wrong side, pin under front band to the front piece; stitch along the front centre edge; press the seam allowances to the front band.

 

4. Stitch the back centre edges; neaten and press the seam.

 

5. Stitch the blouse side piece to the front/back piece. Neaten the seams; press the seams towards the front/back centre.

 

6. Press one long edge of the top front band under. With right sides together, stitch the top front band raw edge to the under front band raw edge. Fold the top front band to the garment right side and press.

 

7. Neaten the lace lower edge; press the edge under and topstitch. Pleat the lace long edge. With the lace between, topstitch the top front band to the front. Topstitch the lace upper edge to the garment 0,5 cm below the neckline.

 

8. Stitch the shoulder seams; neaten the seams; press the seams backwards.

 

9. Make up and shape the collar.

 

10. Stitch the collar stands together along the top/front edges, placing the collar between them.

 

11. Stitch the collar to the neckline; topstitch the collar around. 

 

12. Stitch the sleeve seams.

 

13. Make up and shape the cuffs.

 

14. Stitch the cuffs to the sleeves; neaten the seams; press them upwards. Topstitch the seam allowances to the sleeves; topstitch the cuffs around.

 

15. Stitch the sleeves to the armholes. Neaten the seams.

 

16. Make buttonholes; attach buttons.

 

17. Neaten the blouse hem; fold the hem under and topstitch.
