YOU WILL ALSO NEED: 6 buttons and iron-on interfacing.
SEAM ALLOWANCES: 1 ñì for
all seams.
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR,
THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,
IF
THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.
ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out
according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material
you need (do not forget about double and symmetric pieces).
WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH
NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE MATCHING!
CUTTING:
FABRIC:
1. Collar - 2 pieces
2. Collar stand – 2 pieces
3. Back yoke - 1 piece
4. Back - 2 pieces
5. Front - 2 pieces
6. Front yoke – 2 pieces
7. Front facing – 2 pieces
8. Sleeve - 2 pieces
9. Cuff –2 pieces
INTERFACING: front facing, top collar, cuff
and collar stand.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Apply the interfacing to the wrong side of the front facing, top collar, cuff and the collar stand.
2. Stitch the front/back
darts; press the darts towards the front/back centre.
3. Stitch the front yoke to the front; neaten the seam; press the seam
allowances upwards; topstitch on the yoke 0,5 cm above the joining seam.
4. Stitch the back centre edges; neaten the seam; press the seam to the
back right piece.
5. Stitch the back yoke to the back, neaten the seam; press the seam
allowances upwards; topstitch on the yoke 0,5 cm above the joining seam.
6. Press the front facing outer raw edge under. With wrong sides inside,
stitch the front facing to the front along the centre edge. Fold the front
facing to the right side of the front piece and press. Topstitch the facing to
the front along the folded edge.
7. Stitch the shoulder seams; neaten the
seams; press the seams backwards.
8. Make up and shape the collar.
9. Stitch the collar stands together
along the top/front edges, placing the collar between them.
10. Stitch the collar to the neckline;
topstitch the collar around.
11. Stitch the sleeve seams.
12. Make up and shape the
cuffs.
13. Stitch the cuffs to the
sleeves; neaten the seams.
14. Topstitch the seam
allowances to the sleeves; topstitch the cuffs around.
15. Stitch the sleeves to the armholes.
16. Make buttonholes; attach buttons.
17. Neaten the blouse hem; fold the hem
under and topstitch.
