YOU NEED: silk/viscose; 8 eyelets; fusing.

 

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.

 

SEAM ALLOWANCE: 1 cm for all seams, 3 cm for hem.

 

ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).

 

WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE COINCIDING!

 

CUTTING:

Fabric:

1. Upper front part – 2 pieces

2. Back part – 2 pieces

3. Front facing – 4 pieces

4. Back facing – 4 pieces

5. Front inset – 2 pieces

6. Back inset – 2 pieces

7. Lower back part – 1 piece

8. Lower front part – 1 piece

 

Fusing: front/back facing.

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

1. Apply the fusing to wrong side of front/back facing.

 

2. Stitch upper front darts, press them towards front center.

 

3. Stitch front inset to upper front part. Neaten the seam and press it toward the inset.

 

4. Stitch back inset to upper back part. Neaten the seam and press it toward back inset.

 

5. Stitch the facing to upper front part. Press the seam towards the facing.

 

6. Stitch back facing to upper back part. Press the seam toward back facing.

 

7. Neaten middle back edge, stitch it and press the seam apart.

 

8. Neaten front/back armhole edges and topstitch them.

 

9. Neaten top’s shoulder edges. Stitch shoulder edges and press them apart. Topstitch at 1 cm on both sides of shoulder seam.

 

10. Cut fabric stripes for ties. Fold the tie along the center wrong side out, adjust edges and overstitch at 0.5-0.7 cm fro, edges. Fold the tie right side out, place the seam on bending, then press the seam.

 

11. Pull ties into shoulder seams.

 

12. Stitch middle seam of back neckline inner facing, then press it apart. Neaten facings’ outer edge. Fold inner facings on outer ones coinciding shoulder seams, then overstitch. Topstitch overstitching allowances on inner facing at 0.2 cm from seam. Topstitch facing’s neatened edge on the seam joining the facing.

 

13. Make loose-looped stitch at 0.5 cm from back/front parts’ upper edge. Pull details upper edge correspondingly to front/back inset lower edge.

 

14. Stitch back part’s lower edge to back inset. Neaten the seam and press it toward the inset.

 

15. Stitch lower front part to front inset to that front parts meet. Neaten the seam and press it toward the inset.

 

16. Stitch top’s side seams and neaten them. Press side seams backwards.

 

17. Neaten tops hem, fold it under and topstitch.

 

18. Set eyelets into front edgings. Pull the cord into eyelets.
