NB! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Stitch middle back seam, back/front relieves into fabric details. Neaten seams and press them toward the center.

2. Cut stiff braid into 6 equal pieces. Stitch pieces of braid between dress upper edge and back relieve/middle seams’ advances.

3. Stitch middle back seam, front/back relieve seams and right side seams into lining details. Neaten seams and press them.

4. Make pleats into the drapery. Make large stitches along middle front line and side edges. Tack the drapery to front upper edge and to side seams.

5. Stitch right side seam, neaten it and press it backwards. Stitch stiff braid to right side seam.

6. Stitch side seam into all skirts between closure notch and the hem. Insert skirts into each other. Fix skirts together along upper edge coinciding seams.

7. Stitch upper front part to skirts right sides together. Neaten the seam and press it upwards.

8. Press closure slit into wrong side. Stitch the zipper in. Press the seam.

9. Lay the dress on the lining right sides together. 5 mm before the zipper: fold the lining out and pin it to dress’s upper edge. Fold closure allowances into right side and pin them to upper edge (over the facing). Stitch upper edges together. Fold closure allowances into wrong side. Fold the lining upwards and topstitch on the seam allowance at 1-2 mm from the seam. Fold the lining into wrong side and fix it to zipper braid. Topstitch lining hem along the seam joining upper front part and the skirt.

10. Neaten skirt hems and topstitch them on wrong side at 0.5 cm.

11. Overstitch the gorget with lining, make buttonholes and sew buttons.
