5616 PARTY BLOUSE

 

YOU NEED: linen/cotton with synthetic fibers; fusing; 12 buttons.

 

NB: you can use one-color tinsel to make the bow more effective.

 

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.

 

SEAM ALLOWANCE: 1 cm for all seams, 2 cm for hem allowance.

 

NB! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).

 

WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE COINCIDING!

 

CUTTING:

Fabric:

1. Upper front part – 2 pieces

2. Lower front part – 2 pieces

3. Back part – 1 piece

4. Sleeve – 2 pieces

5. Cuff – 2 pieces

6. Front band – 2 pieces

7. Collar – 2 pieces

8. Stand-up collar – 2 pieces

 

Fusing: front band, outer collar, outer stand-up collar, cuff.

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

1. Apply the fusing to wrong side of font bands, outer stand-up collar, cuffs.

 

2. Stitch back darts. Press darts towards back center. Stitch darts into lower front part. Press darts towards front center.

 

3. Neaten upper parts’ lower edges at a distance from marks as well as upper edges of blouse upper parts. Neaten blouse lower parts’ middle edge.

 

4. Stitch lower front part to upper front part up to the notch. Press seams apart.

 

5. Neaten front bands’ inner edges. Overstitch front edgings with front bands, slash extra fabric in corners and turn front bands right side out.

 

6. Turn one-piece front band into wrong side and overstitch upper corner. Turn right side out and press.

 

7. Stitch side/shoulder seams and neaten them. Press side/shoulder seams backwards.

 

8. Lay collars together and overstitch along the contour. Slash corners and turn the collar right side out. Stitch stand-ups inserting the collar. Turn stand-up collar right side out, then press.

 

9. Stitch inner stand-up with collar into neckline. Fold outer stand-up’s open edge under and topstitch along the seam joining inner stand-up.

 

10. Neaten sleeve edges. Stitch seams to slit notch and press them apart. Make decorative stitch along slit at 0.2 cm from bending. Make loose stitch and gather sleeve hems (see sleeve hem’s length on the pattern).

 

11. Fold the cuff along the center wrong side out, then overstitch. Turn the cuff right side out slashing corners. Stitch upper cuff to sleeve hem. Fold inner cuff’s edge into wrong side and topstitch along the seam joining outer cuff. Stitch sleeves in easing them along sleeve caps. Neaten joining seams.

 

12. Neaten blouse hem, fold hem allowance into wrong side and topstitch.

 

13. Make buttonholes into right front edging, sew buttons on the left one. Sew buttons on cuffs. Fold the cuff along the center adjusting side edges, and sew buttons on both sides (through).
