YOU NEED: middle/high stretchable jersey (natural or mixed), decorative holder for
front neckline (7 m length), jersey braid (or the piping) to trim.
IF THE PATTERNS
HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED, IF THE PATTERNS HAVE
SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.
SEAM ALLOWANCES: 1.5 cm for the
hem/sleeve hems, 0 cm for the neckline, 1 cm for other seams. NB: 1 cm
for a segment between notches.
ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lays them out
according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material
you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).
WHEN SEWING, BE
CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE COINCIDING!
CUTTING:
Fabric:
1. Back part – 1 piece
2. Front part – 1 piece
3. Sleeve – 2 pieces
OUR ADVICE: stitch jersey details with
special elastic/zig-zag stitches. If you use an overlock, cut seam allowances
till 0.6-0.8 cm width. Topstitch hem allowances with double needle to save
elasticity.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Stitch
side/shoulder back/side front edges. Neaten the seams and press them backward.
2. Stitch
seam allowances. Neaten seams and press them.
3. Stitch seams into armholes coinciding notches.
Neaten seams and press them.
4. Neaten
the hem/sleeve hems/the segment of front neckline between notches. Press them
into wrong side, then topstitch.
5. Trim front/back necklines. Begin/finish trimming with front neckline leaving ties of 5 cm length. Pull trimming braid’s ties into the holder and fix them on front part’s wrong side.
