YOU NEED: middle/high stretchable jersey (natural or mixed), decorative braid for ties.

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.

SEAM ALLOWANCES: 1.5 cm for the hem, 1 cm for other seams.

ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lays them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).

WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE COINCIDING!

CUTTING:

Fabric:

1. Back part – 1 piece

2. Front part – 1 piece

3. Front of front part – 1 piece

4. Back placket – 4 pieces

5. Front placket – 4 pieces

Our advice: stitch jersey details with special elastic/zig-zag stitches. If you use an overlock, cut seam allowances till 0.6-0.8 cm width. Topstitch hem allowances with double needle to save elasticity.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Lay back plackets right sides together and overstitch along armhole edges.

2. Lay front plackets right sides together and overstitch along armhole edges.

3. Lay plackets flat, and then fold them along shoulder edge right sides together. Stitch plackets along shoulder seam. Press the seam backwards.

4. Neaten front/back upper edges as well as front of front part’s 3 open edges. Press allowances into wrong side and topstitch them. Topstitch front of front part’s upper edge as the last; lay the tie under it before stitching.

5. Make gathering along front part's armhole edge.

6. Fix front of front part to the front part along the armhole.

7. Stitch outer placket to front/back armholes.

8. Fix front of front part to front part along side seam. NB: front part’s side seam stops at 1.5 cm before front part’s hem (hem allowance). Stitch side seams inserting the tie into left seam. Neaten seams and press them backwards.

9. Fold placket allowances in and stitch them together.

10. Neaten the hem. Press it into wrong side and topstitch.
