YOU NEED: dense cotton or denim; fusing; zipper; decorative clasp.

 

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS PROVIDED,

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE SINGLE CONTOUR, THE SEAM ALLOWANCE IS NOT PROVIDED.

 

SEAM ALLOWANCES: 1 cm for all seams, 2 cm for hem allowance.

 

ATTENTION! Before sewing, print paper patterns and lay them out according to the linen width (from 90 to 150 cm) to find out how much material you need (do not forget about double and symmetric details).

 

WHEN SEWING, BE CAREFUL WITH NOTCHES – THEY MUST BE COINCIDING!

 

CUTTING:

Fabric:

1. Center back skirt – 2 pieces

2. Back inset – 2 pieces

3. Middle back skirt – 2 pieces

4. Side back skirt – 2 pieces

5. Back yoke – 2 pieces

6. Center front skirt – 2 pieces

7. Front inset – 2 pieces

8. Middle front skirt – 2 pieces

9. Side front skirt – 2 pieces

10. Left front yoke – 2 pieces

11. Right front yoke – 2 pieces

12. Button catch – 1 piece

 

Fusing: button catch, front/back yokes.

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

1. Apply the fusing to wrong side of yokes.

 

2. Stitch darts in center back skirts. Press darts toward the center.

 

3. Stitch back inset to middle back skirt. Neaten the seam, press it toward the inset and make decorative stitch at 0.5 cm from the seam.

 

4. Stitch side back skirt to middle back skirt. Neaten the seam, press it toward middle skirt and make decorative stitch at 0.5 cm from the seam.

 

5. Stitch middle back skirt to center back skirt. Neaten the seam, press it toward middle skirt and make decorative stitch at 0.5 cm from the seam.

 

6. Stitch middle back seam. Press the seam leftward, neaten it and made decorative stitch at 0.5 cm from the seam.

 

7. Stitch the yoke to back skirt. Press the seam toward the yoke.

 

8. Stitch front inset to middle font skirt. Neaten the seam, press it toward the inset and make decorative stitch at 0.5 cm from the seam.

 

9. Stitch side front skirt to middle front skirt. Neaten the seam, press it toward middle skirt and make decorative stitch at 0.5 cm from the seam.

 

10. Stitch middle front skirt to center front skirt. Neaten the seam, press it toward middle skirt and make decorative stitch at 0.5 cm from the seam.

 

11. Neaten middle front edge with one-piece facings. Stitch middle front seam up to closure mark.

 

12. Press closure one-piece facings into wrong side as following: to middle front line at right part, stopping 5 mm before middle front line at left part. Stitch the zipper under closure allowance (left edge), laying the zipper with its teeth close to the bending. Lay front skirt flat, expand closure edge. Coincide middle front lines and tack. Topstitch zipper free braid on right one-piece facing; do notch catch right skirt. Topstitch right front skirt along the closure as marked; stop stitching 3 cm before closure bottom. Fold button catch along the center right side out, neaten one long/one short edges. Lay button catch under closure’s left allowance and topstitch the facing on the button catch close to the seam joining the zipper. Fasten the zipper and prolong the decorative stitch rounding it at closure end and catching the button catch. Make decorative stitch along middle front seam at 0.5 cm distance.

 

13. Stitch yokes to front skirts. Press seams toward yokes.

 

14. Stitch side edges. Press seams backward, neaten them and make decorative stitch at 0.5 cm from the seam.

 

15. Stitch side edges of inner yokes, press seams apart. Neaten yoke’s outer edge. Lay the yoke on the skirt right sides together, then overstitch skirt’s upper edge. Topstitch overstitch facing on inner yoke at 0.2 cm from the seam; stop stitching 3 cm before each side. Overstitch yokes’ ends, slash extra fabric and turn corners right side out. Topstitch inner yokes on the seam joining outer yokes, then press.

 

16. Press the hem into wrong side fold it under and topstitch.
